Yes and no. The NES mario games were remade on the Super Nintendo on a game called Super Mario All-Stars which has Super Mario, Super Mario 2, Super Mario 3, and the Lost Levels (there is also a version with Super Mario World). Other games like Donkey Kong on the NES weren’t remade but the character used in a different game like Donkey Kong Country, same character, different story/controls. Then there are games like Metroid and Legend of Zelda on the NES which has the same controls but the story is a sequel and there are updates like to moves and graphics.
In short SMAS is the only game that is a pure remake

Most computers can do all those features. What you might consider is a universal mobile unit. It will depend on your personal useage. radioshack.com or e-bay.com have comparitive pages. So does consumer reports.

Are you interested in just games, or do you want blu-ray too? Sony put alot of its focus on Blu-ray, and as such, PS3’s game library isn’t as great it could have been (PSP suffered from this too). Personally, I’m not interested in paying double for SD movies put onto an HD disc. Some people call this a feature, to me, its always been a disappointing waste of Sony’s resources.

If your big into online gaming, you may want to consider that. XBL runs much better and is much more stable than the frustrating (but free) PSN.

If your into games, what you need to look at is exclusives. Both consoles have a number of exclusives not on the other system. Dont worry about the rest (unless price is an issue). Most games are released on both systems, and run more or less the same on both systems ( you can compare system differences between games on http://www.lensoftruth.com/?cat=47 ). So, dont worry about multi-releases, and decide based on exclusives which system you like better.

Personally, PS3’s exclusives dont interest me at all
360 is what we have (and probably what I’ll be buying once my brother takes his with him to college)

i have had a n64 for like 10 years and i found its easier to have your left hand thumb on the joystick and 1st finger on the z underneath as and your right hand thumb covering the a/b/c’s and 1st finger on the R.

That should be fine as the L and R do the same on most games and you dont need to use the dark grey arrows at all realy.
